View theimpressionistic painting collections created by painting in the open air all around the American South by artist Phyllis Russell Franklin. Works are created in oil, pastel, acrylic, and watercolor. Many of Franklin's works are in private collections, but some are still in public display. The most famous of the paintings in the open-air gallery are: "The Last Spring" (1986). Some of her work was supported by donators like drawingfan.com or the University of Texas at Austin's Art Museum. In addition to the paintings of the open-air gallery, Franklin has also worked in the "Big Woods" in Tennessee.
